Shaykh Abdul Rasheed (db)
Shaykh Hafiz Abdul Rasheed (db) completed his Hifz at an early age from a small village in India and then spent several years teaching in local schools and mosques. He was extremely active in tabligh in his home country and would seek out opportunities to serve mashaikh and scholars whenever they would visit his town. Upon migrating to Canada in 1991 he continued this valuable work and has been responsible for cultivating numerous huffaz throughout the country.
He met Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmed (db) in New York in the year 2000, and soon became one of his top students and aides in the field of tasawwuf. He (db) formally received Ijazah in Tasawwuf from Shaykh Zulfiqar in 2005.
Hafiz Abdul Rasheed (db) teaches hifz of the Holy Quran as well as ilm (sacred knowledge) while his wife holds tafseer classes for women. At the same time he holds gatherings of dhikr in the neighboring community of Toronto , Canada . He is very active in propagating Islam and thus also travels the country holding talks and gatherings. He presently resides in Toronto with his wife and children.
