Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed (db)

Shaykh Mufti Kamaluddin Ahmed was born and raised in Manhattan, NY and went on to obtain a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago. For over a decade he has consistently remained in the close company of his teacher, Hadrat Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad, learning the science of purification of the heart and disciplining the soul, and was formally authorized in the science of Islamic spirituality (Tasawwuf) by the Shaykh in 2002.  Additionally, he has studied sacred knowledge from traditional scholars in Pakistan for the past several years and possesses formal authorizations in a number of Islamic sciences including authorizations in the narration of hadith and in the transmission of legal opinion (Ifta). Shaykh Kamal currently divides his time between the United States and Pakistan, remaining in close contact with his teachers and traveling in an effort to impart the knowledge he continues to learn from them.
